"The Collector's Shelf: A New Hope" Gicleé

This limited-edition giclée print on canvas by artist Yishai Minkin captures the fun and artistry of a selection of original Star Wars memorabilia, mostly from the late 1970s, when Star Wars first became a major "force" in character merchandising. Action figures are prominently featured as the most popular category of Star Wars collectibles, and included here are some of the very first Star Wars action figures. These first Star Wars action figures were revolutionary in their small size (3.75 inches) which allowed for affordability and a vast number of accessories that weren't possible with the then-typical 12-inch action figure. Showcased merchandise also includes a Chewbacca figural mug, a 1978 battery-operated toothbrush, a Han Solo trading card, and X-wing fighter and Millennium Falcon die-cast vehicles. The Official Star Wars Fan Club is represented by a 1978 sew-on patch and a portrait button featuring Princess Leia. Also pictured: an R2-D2 ceramic cookie jar, the first edition of the Star Wars novelization, originally released in 1976, a Star Wars belt buckle and a 1977 Burger King drinking glass. This select group of rare Star Wars merchandise captures the unique characters and exciting storytelling of one of the most popular movie series in history. This deep-stretched canvas giclée print measures 18"x26" and has an edition size of 1000.
